Big Foot Systems has supplied a Heavy Duty bespoke Lattice Frame for the support of a 45,000kg, 9.5m x 9.5m square water tank, spreading the load on a 105m² inverted roof area on a Basingstoke hotel.
The Lattice Frame was requested for a brand new 4 star Village Hotel in Basingstoke, complete with restaurant, conference suites, gym and pool facilities. The contractor was facing the issue of safely distributing the heavy load of the water tank on a restricted amount of roof space.
Big Foot Systems was approached by the contractor to provide support to the large water tank within roof load parameters at a low level. The primary aim for the project was to provide the right support to the tank at a competitive rate, ensuring the spread of foot pressure was distributed evenly across the available area on shelf components for a quick turnaround.
Within a short available timescale, the Technical Team were able to quote the project, draw the solution and supply a frame that provided the level surface required, whilst Project Management worked very closely with the contractor for a smooth offload and quick install.
The success of this project came from building a comprehensive relationship with the sub-contractor who were so pleased with the quality of a similar solution, on a hotel in Bristol that they returned for repeat results.
