Big Foot Systems supplied non-penetrative HD Beams as part of the HVAC refit on the roof of the Mycon General Contractors headquarters in McKinney.
The contractor on the project ACIS Inc. used sixteen HD Beams to support two air cooled chillers on the thermoplastic polyolefin single-ply roof.
Big Foot’s HD Beams were specified because the beams created a free-standing framework system that is non-penetrative. The ability to construct the Big Foot supports without needing to call in roofing contractors was a benefit, saving cost and time on-site. The ability to adjust the legs and keep the units level to accommodate the pitch of the roof was essential on this retrofit.
