3rd Queen's Award Celebrated In Style

Aspen Pumps Group celebrated its recent Queen’s Award win in style with an afternoon reception and official presentation at Michelham Priory in East Sussex.

The afternoon celebrated Aspen’s third Queen’s Award win in the last ten years, this time in the category of Enterprise; International Trade with a presentation from the Lord Lieutenant in his official capacity as a royal representative. Aspen has continued to grow internationally, despite the UK’s changing relationship with Europe.

CEO Adrian Thompson said “Winning three Queen’s Awards is a truly remarkable achievement and is a reflection of the fantastic team culture we have here at Aspen. Everyone has had a part to play in getting us to this point. Since I joined the business in 2007 we have focussed on international trade as part of our strategy and today over 75% of our sales come from international markets, an impressive statistic when you consider Aspen was started by 3 air conditioning engineers in a humble garden shed. I continue to be very proud to be part of Aspen and look forward to building our business even further.”

Aspen’s international growth has seen the company noted as one of the most inspiring businesses in the UK, but continues to invest in the British economy by employing local employees.

Also joining the Lord Lieutenant at the celebration were the Chairman of East Sussex County Council, the Mayor of Hailsham and MP Nusrat Ghani who had recently visited Aspen to understand more about the company’s continued successes, despite a period of international trading challenges.

Speaking about his role in the presentation, Lord Lieutenant Peter Field said, “It was an honour to present Aspen Pumps Group with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, International Trade on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen. Aspen is an outstanding company and has contributed greatly to the local economy whilst achieving an impressive global reach. This is a fantastic achievement and I would like to congratulate everyone in the company.”
